What is Container Gardening?
Posted by kaviiks on September 21, 2008
Container gardening has a long history and gardening records have been noted in relics from the ancient Mesopotamian and Egyptian civilizations as well as the Greek and Roman ancient civilizations where ornamentation using pots and containers were a central feature of the gardens. When gardening is confined to containers and pots, the science of such forms is usually referred to as container gardening and it effects the skillful use of man’s ability to grow his plantings in pots where such plants are normally designed to thrive on the ground. Pots and containers allow one to artistically integrate forms with nature and the exciting creations that result in pots and containers add a sharp focus against the greater garden landscape. As we bring you the vast benefits of container planting here in our blog, we believe that each one of us will welcome the thought of converting that simple window box or an old watering can into something fascinating – an array of blooms or greens that add spirit and color to an otherwise lifeless place.
